Sydney was born on August 1st, 2002 in Vogelsberg when I was just 21 years old. I learned the Border Collie multiplication tables with her and she has accompanied me throughout my studies. She was a great, albeit not always easy, companion dog. She really wanted to work on the sheep, but she didn't have the genes for it in the cradle. The good thing, however, was that she didn't really need herding and was also satisfied with many other activities, which was very convenient for me at the time, because I didn't have any sheep of my own at the time.
Sydney died of a multi-resistant germ that showed itself in a very bad way in an inflammation of the root bed. I had to let her go after several unsuccessful antibiotic treatments.
